Getting Started
V-NET provides a shared ubiquitous voice (and video in the future) communication channel for each pair of endpoints. It can be used on demand inside the endpoint list page and other pages where collaboration could be needed between the pair of endpoints involved. Note that switching between pages will not close an opened channel. Note also that on pages where there is no audio receiver the voice of the other party will not be heard, however the other party might be on a page that allows hearing from the user.
The top portion of the current page displays the list of all opened two way voice channels associated with the current endpoint that the user use to know the communication status of the current endpoint and manage it.
The next block is for a simplified form of group voice chat or audio group meeting. A user can initiate a meeting after selecting the initial group of participants (endpoints) or join an existing one here. The initiator can also add more participants during the meeting. A participant (except the initiator) can leave the session anytime during the meeting. All participants can choose to disconnect from the meeting to handle other task without leaving it and reconnect to it later. A participant can also update the name or identifier he/she would like to use in real-time during the meeting. The meeting session will be closed automatically after all participants had left.
The third block provides an entry point to the one to one media (voice, video and both) call system of V-NET.
